However, because you lived together as husband and wife, you may be said to have a relationship like marriage, which gives you access to the remedies available under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. You can also think about filing a case under the Department of Women and Child Development and Section 69 of BNS, which provides for punishment for sexual intercourse on the false promise of marriage.
