Dear Client,

As per directions from the City Civil Court, Kolkata, you have to get the "Information Slip" from the Madras High Court. You have to immediately approach the Registry of the Madras High Court which is handling the case with full details of the case including EP No. 127/2008, Transfer Execution No. 20/2007, and TS No. 11/1999, along with the decree papers and transfer papers. With the help of the memo/application through your attorney, you can ask for the generation of the "Information Slip".

I hope this helps and if you have any further issues do not hesitate to contact us.

Dear client, An Information Slip from the Madras High Court is a document indicating it is currently pending before the courtroom what the status of the execution matters before the Court is, and your Kolkata City Civil Court needs nearly a copy of it to move forward with the execution proceedings. You may physically visit the Madras High Court registry with all the case particulars i.e. EP No. 127/2008, in T.Ex No. 20/2007, in TS 11/1999 with you or an advocate residing in Madras who is engaged in that matter, and request it for you from the filing counter. In this case you referred to having a second bench of the City Civil Court Kolkata, you will need to mention both the case numbers, otherwise there may be confusion at the registry.

We recommend having an advocate based in Madras for you as it needs to be requested physically at the Madras registry and the registry will need to be called up for multiple stages. When you get the Information Slip, you need to immediately hand it over to the Kolkata court after they directed you to it as otherwise they may issue an order from the execution case which may be detrimental to your claim. If your case is time sensitive, you may have your advocate at Kolkata write a formal request to the registry of the Madras High Court to issue the Information Slip at the earliest.

I hope this helps, and if you have any further issues, do not hesitate to contact us.

Dear Sir,

You should immediately engage an advocate or clerk at the Madras High Court to inspect the execution records and ascertain exactly what the Kolkata Court means by “Information Slip,” because terminology and practice may differ between courts. Usually, such a slip may contain:

  • present status of the execution petition,
  • whether decree records were transmitted,
  • whether execution is pending or disposed,
  • details of attachment or recovery,
  • amount realized if any,
  • or whether any stay orders exist.

Normally, to obtain the document, an application has to be filed before the concerned execution section or copying section of the High Court seeking issuance of:

  • certified copy of the order sheet,
  • status certificate,
  • information memo/slip,
  • or transmission details as directed by the Kolkata Court.
