Dear Client,

You should report the mismatch between your training and your assigned duty in writing to your school Headmistress/Headmaster and the Election Officer of the Block/District who assigned you. If you were trained as a 2nd Polling Officer but suddenly given Presiding Officer duty, that is a change in role and usually requires additional or proper training, and the Election Commission‑related circulars in West Bengal expect that such critical duties are given only to teachers who are properly trained and agree to take that responsibility. If you genuinely feel unprepared or uncomfortable taking Presiding Officer duty after only 2nd‑Polling‑Officer training, you can request, in writing, to be reverted to your originally trained role (2nd Polling Officer) and ask the authority to assign a suitably trained teacher as Presiding Officer, and keep a copy of your application. If the school or election authority does not respond or insists harshly, you can also inform the Chief Electoral Officer (West Bengal) or the Election Commission helpline or online portal that your duty role does not match your training, so that they can clarify or correct the assignment.

I hope this helps and if you have any further issues do not hesitate to contact us.
