► ok so I took admission in a language institute and I paid 31k there but the services were not as promised my timings were called daily as per their convenience and there was no proper batch also my level was B2 but still my classes were taken with A2 and sometimes with B1 and also the teacher's grammar rules did not seem right to me and I knew that all this was wrong so I talked to her but she said our process is non refundable etc etc and you don't have enough knowledge and I've 15 years of teaching experience but I also read their reviews on google the same thing happened with me and I've proof that what I am saying is true but I sent them an email and the only reply I got was that it is non refundable process...and we are not criminals so take legal action whatever you want.... What should I do now because as a student i dont have enough money for petition...lawyers and courts... What should I do

Dear Client, as per your query, The institute’s "non-refundable" clause, as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, is an unfair contract, which cannot prevail over your right to a refund for the deficiency of service (in levels and erratic timings). You are entitled to a pro-rata refund, as educational institutes cannot collect fees for service they don’t provide. So, to avoid legal costs, you can file your grievance for free through the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or their website, which failed to resolve your issue, you can file your case yourself through the E-Daakhil portal, which does not require any lawyer to be present, with zero court fees for cases up to ₹5 lakh. In case of further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank You.

Dear Client,

Even though the institute is saying “non‑refundable” and challenging you to take legal action, you still have rights. Coaching and language institutes are treated as service providers, and if what they promised (level‑wise batches, fixed timings, proper teaching) is very different from what they actually gave, that is a deficiency in service, and consumer courts have ordered such institutes to refund fees and pay compensation even when their internal policy said “no refund”. Your best route is to keep all proofs (receipts, ads, screenshots, emails, reviews, chats), first send them one clear legal notice asking for refund within 15 days due to mis‑selling and poor service, and if they refuse, file an online consumer complaint or with the District Consumer Commission. The court fee for a 31k dispute is very low or even zero in many states (for claims below 5 lakh, often no court fee), and you can file the complaint yourself without a lawyer.

I hope this helps and if you have any further issues do not hesitate to contact us.
